Shirley Ann Thompson, 84, of Modesto passed away on September 25, 2019. Born Shirley Ann Yturri on June 10, 1935 to Glenna and Floyd, Shirley spent the early years of her life with siblings Elgin, Yvonne and Evelyn on the family ranch in Collegeville, a small suburb of Stockton. After marrying, she lived most of her life in Modesto, raising two children, Michael Huggins and Sherri Darpinian. Along the way, she enjoyed a 20 year career at Clinic Pharmacy. Her home was open to all, and she treated children from the neighborhood, friends and cousins of Sherri and Michael as if they were her children. She will be missed by all. She is survived by her son Michael, wife Franceska and their two children Sean and Brett of San Jose, CA; her daughter Sherri and her two children Katherine and William of Riverbank, CA; sisters Yvonne Sinarle of Ripon and Evelyn Gonzales of Stockton and brother Elgin Yturri of Stockton. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 12 at noon at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson, CA.
