In 1953, Shmoni was married to Yawanies Boutros and soon became a loving mother to a faithful daughter Samia, and soon after her loving son Sam. They moved their family to Chicago before moving to Modesto, CA. in 1979.
She is survived by her son Sam, daughter Samia, son-in-law Robert, and her grandchildren Ronnie, Ronia, Raymond, Rhonda, Brandon, Michael and Gabriel. She also has many special extended family here in Modesto, Chicago, Australia, Canada and Arizona.
On Sunday morning, 2/24/13 6:08 am, Our Heavenly Father called Shmoni to come home and join Yawanies and spend eternity in his presence. All that were lucky enough to know Shmoni will have a permanent impression on their lives. Her desire to help and love others was like no other. If you were blessed enough to have shared in her company then you are a witness that there was once a women who walked this earth and she was truly the definition of "LOVE". Her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother was proof to us all that it is possible to be a completely selfless, faithful, reliable amazing women of God. Shmoni is a perfect example of "Love". To be a witness of "Love" was to watch Shmoni be a wife to Yawanies. The faithful caregiver, the one he could count on for everything, his best friend and a wonderful mother to his children. This example she gave was what I Corinthians 13:4-8 is referring to:
Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud, it is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not rejoice in evil, but rejoices in the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always preservers. "LOVE NEVER FAILS"
Her strong and faithful daughter Samia cared for her mother to the very end. She made sure her mom's health came first and sacrificed a lot to keep her mom home and comfortable as long as she could. We all should pray to have someone as loving and faithful in our lives as this mother and daughter. Her son Sam, was the apple of her eye. There are hardly words to define the love she had for her son. He meant the world to her. No matter what she was doing or how happy she was, given the opportunity she'd be with Sam. He cared for his parents for many years and was their perfect son. When Shmoni's grandchildren were anywhere near, her face would light up a room. Every one of them made her so happy and proud. You can never doubt the love that was shared between her and anyone of her grandchildren. She had a big part in their lives when they were growing up and each one of them has stories of the impressions she left in their lives.
The family that is so far away knows that no matter the distance she loved you and kept you close to her heart. Each one of us has a little part of her that will stay with us. She will ALWAYS be missed, loved, and NEVER forgotten. Until we see you again Shmoni we love you and miss you and will strive in our lives to love as you have loved.
