Stephen Virgil Grandstaff February 16,1949 – December 24,2020. It is with great sadness we share with you the passing of Steve. Steve was born in Iowa but lived most his life in Modesto, CA. He served in the Navy from September 1968 – September 1972. He was a very proud Veteran who served in Vietnam. Steve worked for the United States Post Office for 35 years and was awarded Mailman of the Year.
Steve was a very generous man who throughout the years donated to many different causes. He was a huge Jimmy Buffett fan, Parrothead all the way. He also loved the coast and took a lot of trips with one of his very best friends Randy Kern. Time spent with his family meant so much to him especially when we would gather for a family BBQ. He was a very proud man and would do anything he can to help out those he loved. He was loved by many and will be missed so very much.
Steve is survived by Kathy Grandstaff, his children Kelly Grandstaff (Derek), Melissa Owens (Darin) and his grandchildren Tyler Sidell, Lucas Owens and Jocelyn Sidell. He is preceded in death by his mother and father Robert and Mae Grandstaff.
Services will be Tuesday, January 12,2021 at 10 am. It will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park 900 Santa Fe Hughson, Ca 95326
