Terry Summers, age 53, of Modesto, California passed away on Wednesday, November
11th. Terry was born in Modesto to parents Herbert and Dorothy Summers. He was a
lifelong resident of Stanislaus County.
Terry was a huge NASCAR fan, liked to work on his VW bug, horseback backpacking in
Kennedy Meadows and playing softball in Turlock at Pedretti Park.
He is survived by his three daughters; Jamie and her husband Mike McClendon, Brandy
and her husband Gabe Durkee and Alisha and her husband Brett Word; his father
Herbert Summers; brother Mike and his wife Darlene Summers; sister-in-law Karen Summers;
grandchildren, Taylor, Jewelia, Logan and Braxton; nieces Kristy and Marissa and nephews
Jeff and Jonathan.
Terry was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Summers and his brother Jerry Summers.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 3rd from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a chapel
service on Saturday, December 4th at 11:00 AM, both held at Lakewood Funeral Home,
900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson, CA. Lakewood Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
