Venita, 84 years young, went home to be with her Lord and savior on January 4, 2016 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Oklahoma City however resided in Modesto for most of her life. Her greatest joy was to be with her family. She loved the Lord and attended Bethel Church regularly until her illness. Venita enjoyed bingo, crochet, traveling and volunteering at Doctor’s Medical Center. After 30 years, she had retired from Tri Valley as a quality control technician and was a member of Moose and Eagles Lodges. Venita is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years Jim Nickols and her parents Clarence and Dovie Ogle. She is survived by her children Debbie (Bart) Kuharski, Barbara (Mike) Morrow and William Nickols, grandchildren Michelle (Brian) Vrieling, Trisha (Julio) Romero, Angie (Aron) Alberts, Steve (Tessa) Nickols, Mike (Angie) Morrow, Matt Kuharski and James (Deborah) Nickols, 18 great grandchildren and two great-great granddaughters. Venita will be dearly missed by all those who know and love her. A celebration of life will be held at One Church Bethel in Modesto at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 15, 2016.
