Vernon Cole passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Vernon retired from the agriculture chemical business. He was an expert gunsmith who was self taught. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and being with his family.
He is preceded in death by his mother Geneva, father Melvin, sister Gayleyne, grandson Richard and the love of his life, Shirley. He is survived by two sons Gene and Terry and daughter Kay and their spouses Pam, Estra and Howard, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Viewing is Sunday, October 6th from 12-4pm and Service is Monday October 7th at 10am both at Lakewood Funeral Home Heritage Chapel in Hughson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hospice of your choice.
