Virginia Tapia-61, of Waterford, CA, passed away February 28th, 2019 at 5:40pm. She was born in Crosbyton, Texas on December 1st, 1957 to late Juanita G. Martinez and Julian Martinez. Virginia grew up in Pharr Texas with 11 brothers and sisters and graduated from San Juan Alamo High School. On January 27th, 1977 at the age of 19, she married the love of her life Luis Tapia SR. In her early life, Virginia worked as a caregiver for the elderly and children. She attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness where she was a proud member for over 30 years. Virginia loved drawing, dancing, knitting, and spending quality time with her grandchildren whom she adored. Virginia was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 42 years Luis Tapia and 3 sons. Vicente Tapia, Luis Tapia Jr., and Joaquin Tapia as well as her beloved grandchildren Thalia Tapia-14, Richie Tapia-15 (Deceased), Vinnie Tapia-13, Santino Tapia-11, Chanel Tapia-9, Aniyah Tapia-6, Vicente Tapia Jr-4. Brothers and sisters are Maria Vargas(deceased), Aurelio Martinez-TX, Raul Martinez-TX, Rodrigo Martinez(Deceased), Dora Nella Almanza-TX, Santa Ofelia Martinez(deceased), Julian Martinez-TX, Berta Tapia-CA, Ofelia Hernandez-TX, Jose Juan Martinez-TX. Services will be held at 10:00am March 9th, 2019 at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home-900 Santa Fe Ave. Hughson, CA 95326.
