It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Whitney Lee Howerton. Whit leaves behind his loving sisters, Lindsey Howerton Klinger of Pacific Grove, and Quincy M. Howerton of Redondo Beach, and his loving father Walter L. Howerton of Modesto. Also, his extended family and life long friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Sue Howerton.
Whit was born and raised in Modesto. He graduated from Beyer H.S. in 1990, he attended MJC where he continued to compete in both track and soccer; then went on to graduate from CSU Stanislaus.
Whit has resided for the past sixteen years in Sacramento; and will be remembered for his bright smile, quirky sense of humor, his love of odd anecdotes, his love and knowledge of all kinds of animals, especially birds, and his keen eye for antiques and collectibles. He was loved and will be missed.
