William "Bill" Crismon Jr.
July 19, 1949 – December 1, 2018
William “Bill” Crismon, Jr., 69, of Modesto, CA., passed away peacefully at home on December 1, 2018. He was born in Modesto, CA., on July 19, 1949. Bill graduated from Modesto High School and received an Associate of Arts degree from Modesto Junior College. On October 25, 1968, he married his high school sweetheart, Linda Vermeulen. Together they later moved to the Coulterville/Lake Don Pedro area where they started a family and resided for many years. Bill worked as a Sr. park ranger for the Merced Irrigation District for 26 years, and as a reserve deputy for Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office. He also served as a volunteer for the Mariposa County Search and Rescue team and was an EMT. Bill had a huge passion for the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, but mostly enjoyed just spending time together as a family. Bill was survived by his three daughters Kimberly Martin, Shellie Crismon and Kari Crismon. His six grandchildren Kayla Crismon-Gilgo, Dylan Briggs, Haylie Martin, Ashlynn Crismon, Tyler Martin, Jaelynn Alcantara, and his two great grandchildren Cristian and Zacarias Mendez. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Crismon, his parents William and Dorothy Crismon, brother Clifford Crismon and daughter Karla Crismon. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 on December 10, 2018, at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson, CA. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on December 9, 2018. In honor of Bill’s favorite sports teams the family is requesting you wear something red, gold, orange,black or anything camouflage. I can still hear your voice... weather it be the "Heyyyyyy Pooter Butt" as I walked through your doors. Or "Reel it in baby" from one of our fishing trips. You devoted your life to your family. You made us laugh, you made us cry, you taught us lessons, and made so many memories for us to look back on.
I can't wait to share all of the memories I have with you to your great grandkids. I promise they're going to know what an amazing Poppy you were.
