Winnie was my non biological momma. I'm sure there are lots of people that can say that about her. Winnie came into my life when I was about 10 years old. She and my mom became the best of friends. There aren't many childhood memories I have without her in it. Along with gaining another mom, I gained a sister in Debbie. Debbie, thank you for so willingly always sharing your family with me. You will never know the impact you and your parents had on me. Winnie, this world was better with you in it, but the love you left, will always live on in the lives you touched. You will always be loved and missed!

Winnie and I became the best of friends as soon as we met...and we remained best friends for probably within days of 50 years! Through so many changes of life that I can't  even count
 She was the very best friend anyone could ever have; and I have will miss her every minute of the rest of my life.  We enjoyed walking in cemeteries, especially in the fall? When the leaves were changing colors. When Fred and Winnie moved to California, I thoughtthey would only have palm, or other tropical trees. So I gathered the prettiest leaves possible that fall, presses them in waxed paper and sent that box to Winnie. She got a great laugh out of it; but she saved it to remind both of us about our loving friendship.  Rest well my friend; I will always treasure our friendship
