Yu Mei Chan

Yu Mei Chan, aged 72 of Manteca, California passed away on October 5, 2025.

Yu Mei was a devoted wife, loving mother, and caring daughter whose gentle presence left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She worked as a dental assistant alongside her father in Vietnam where she brought both skill and compassion to her work and cherished the opportunity to work closely with family.

Yu Mei was deeply committed to her own family. As a wife, she shared a life of love and partnership, and as a mother, she poured her heart into raising her son with care, patience, and unwavering devotion. Her family was truly the center of her world. She loves family meals and when it comes to buffets, she's never met one she didn't like. In her quieter moments, Yu Mei enjoyed exploring Youtube whether it was watching videos to learn something new, unwind, or simply entertain herself with light hearted content. She also loved the occasional trip to the casino, where she found joy in playing games and soaking in the lively atmosphere.

Yu Mei will be deeply missed by her husband Harry Wong, son Stephen Wong, her six brothers and her sister. Services will be held for Yu Mei on Monday October 20 at 9:00 AM in the Heritage chapel at Lakewood Funeral Home 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA, 95326. A graveside service will occur on Monday October 20 at 2:00 PM at Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA, 95326.
