I loved this entire family so very much. Zelpha was like a mother for me, if I could have chosen her I would have. I was also fortunate enough to spend time with her mother Elvie (and amazing lady as well) and Rays mother Mae. Luckily I did get to be part of this family if only for a short while. Camping and ski trips at various lakes and on the delta are some of my most favorite memories. Christmas was always so special helping decorate her humongous tree was always a good time and she loved it. My first time drinking strawberry daiquiris was with her, oh how we laughed as we stuck out our red tongues at each other, café liquors were fun too. She taught me so much, how to cook, ( she made the best Texas sheet cake) crochet from a pattern and how to be a good partner to a spouse.  Games were a great time with anyone in the family, but mostly I played with Zelpha. SkipBo is still played in my home as well as cribbage and aggravation. I think of them everytime I play a game.  Every chance I could I would go see Zelpha and Ray over the passing years the last time was in 2014 her mind was not as sharp and she appologised so many times for it but her eyes were the same, and she knew me and my daughter who she had met in 2009  when she was 18, she was so kind everytime she saw us and treated us both like family. RIP sweet lady I love you.  I will see you again up in the big blue "and all" inside joke lol.
