A devoted husband, father, and member of the Baha’i Faith, Ahang is preceded in death by his parents Dr. and Mrs. Iraj Rabbani and survived by his wife, Tahirih Baker-Rabbani, sons, Bayan, Tebyan and their mother Maryam Afnan Rabbani, sister Naghmeh and brother-in-law Fariborz Astani, sister Ranneh and brother-in-law Farshid Kayfan, nephews Sama and Sahab Astani, Kanz and Samar Kayfan, niece, Ruha Astani, aunt, uncle, and cousins.
Ahang touched everyone whom he met. His laugh will never be forgotten. A great scholar, teacher, motivator; generous, kind, and loving – he left this world a better place than he found it.
Throughout a lengthy career as a PhD Statistician, with the distinction of Six Sigma Master Black Belt, he worked hard to provide for his family and was loved and respected for his knowledge and capabilities.
Upon his diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma (a blood cancer) in July 2012, Ahang set on a courageous journey and battled his disease every day, refusing to give up the fight.
As his soul soars through the next world, he watches over all of us.
