“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7

Albert C. Hulse also known as “Al” was undeniably an astonishing, caring, and dedicated man that made an immediate impact on the lives of anyone he met and cared for.

Al was born on June 6, 1974 in Miami, Florida. He was the son of Milly and Tito Hulse, youngest of 7 children (Debbie, Nellie, Betty, Alexia, Wallace, and Patrick), amazing uncle to 14 nieces and nephews (Nicole, April, Meagan, Erik, Dylan, Gabriela, Cristian, Jake, Maddison, Luna, Ethan, Aryannah, Jasleen, and Geovanni), dedicated husband to Jeannette Santiago-Hulse, best friend to Nathan Pickney, and god father to children he saw grow into adulthood (Jasmine, Ashanti, Matthew, and Elijah), Son- in- law to Zoraida and Salvador Rodriguez, and Eli and Sonia Santiago, brother-in-law to Ady Ordiales, Gary McGirr, Jorge Salazar, Valerie Hulse, Viridiana Hulse, Jay Santiago and wife Claudia, and Rolando Marrero. He grew up in Houston Texas where he continued to bless people with his presence until his very last day.

On May 3, 2021 Al left us and joined the Lord. Al battled most of his life with different health conditions. At the age of 46, he fought his last battle against COVID.

Anyone that new Al would say what an incredible person he was. Full of life, laughter, and love. He lived his life loving his family. He looked forward to family gatherings, get togethers with friends, football Sundays with brother Wallace and pals, and anything to do with sweets. If there were sweets, you knew Al would be right by them indulging every bite and trying a little bit of everything!

In the summer of 2017, I met Al through a social media site. There was an instant connection. His witty ways and smooth operator talk drove straight to my heart. Not to mention his beautiful eyes and that smile that lights up a whole room. But what made me fall in love with him was how he loved his family. The way he talked about his brothers and sisters, his nieces and nephews and just anyone he considered family helped me see the kind of man he was. Then, I fell madly in love. I mean like deep down, I am never letting you go love, when I saw who Al was with his mother. They say that you know the kind of husband you will get when you see how he treats his mother. Well, I knew I was ready to marry him when I saw the care and attention he gave to his mom. She was his number 1.

November of 2019 he proposed and 3 months later we were married. Our time together has not been long, but it is my most treasured time and most valued memories. People live their whole lives never experiencing the kind of love that Al and I had. We were not just lovers, or husband and wife; we were best friends, soulmates. I will forever treasure the blessing he gave me. I will forever hold in my heart the experiences we had, and without a doubt I will be reunited with him soon enough.

I end this eulogy with a message from Al. “Wipe them tears, get your rasses up. Eat sweets, play lots of games, laugh a lot, and most importantly never forget how much I loved each and every one of you!”

Our family shared just about any fan event or activity that we could make work with Al - and this tradition goes back well before Jake was born. Here are the boys at the Super Bowl 51 event Feb 5, 2017. Such fun times together.

It was fun to see Wallace & Al enjoy stops like this one at Jawz Fish Taco truck - one of the best things about our trip was exploring and not knowing what we might find. As usual, they were continuously joking and having fun together. One of the things I will miss most about Albert is the fun and joy he and Wallace generated together.

Al, you were always so kind and loving and I miss you dearly. I would give just about anything to have you back in our lives again.

The boys at our favorite restaurant on Maui - Mama's Fish House. Wallace and I had looked forward to sharing dinner there with Albert from the moment we planned the trip! After our drive to and from Hana, we had a lovely dinner and Al confirmed that it lived up to the hype 😊 I'm sure we would all agree that was everyone's favorite day of the amazing trip together.

This is Al at one of our beautiful stops along the Road to Hana on Oct 3, 2014. It was an incredible 60 miles of twisting, winding road with so much lush scenery and waterfalls along the way...and then we had to drive back! We enjoyed soaking up the island all day.

Al would go to Jasleen's soccer games and be so impressed with how strong her kick was. I remember him telling me that at one of her games. He was always encouraging and we will never forget how much he loved our daughters.

Al was the second half of the "A" Team, Aryannah's tag team partner against Jeanny and Jasleen. It was fun watching them compete. We will cherish those times forever.

I thank God everyday that you were a part of our lives. No one could have asked for a better friendship than what you shared with Nathan. Your kindness and that wonderful smile will never be forgotten. How could I have known that September 2020 would be the last time I would see you alive . You came to help me celebrate my 65th birthday. I thank God for giving all of us the opportunity to spend time with you and your lovely wife. We had a blast and you made my day. I will love you always as my second son. It’s difficult losing you, but I know that you are no longer are suffering. I know that you now have that permanent beautiful smile on your face, because you are now with our Lord and Savior. Rest In Peace my sweet son. You will always be in our hearts. My prayers and condolences go out to your wife and family. Love you always - you second mom.
