Allan was born to Roy & Virginia Nelson in Austin, TX. His father had a career in the Air Force so as a young man he visited and lived in many places, including Guatemala, England and all throughout the US. He began his career in the Navy and eventually became a database administrator and also had many other technical and computing skills. Allan married Lisa Nelson on October 2, 1999 and was a loving and caring husband. Allan loved learning and reading, he taught himself many things from studying his books. He was a Christian first and foremost and a faithful bible study teacher for 18 years.
Allan is preceded in rest by his parents Roy & Virginia Nelson and his cousin Malinda Davis. He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Nelson; his cousin, Christina Davis; his brother & sister-in-law, Phil & Lori Goforth; brother-in-law, Jeff Kroeger; his mother-in-law, Barbara Kroeger; his step-son & daughter-in-law, Nathan & Liz Price; and his grandchildren, Logan & Aiden Price.
Allan was a man of God with a passion for God’s word and his memory will be treasured forever. A visitation for Allan Nelson will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 21723 Aldine-Westfield Rd, Humble TX 77338 on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at Founders Baptist Church, 24724 Aldine-Westfield Rd, Spring TX 77373 on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 10:00 AM with committal to follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of Allan Louis Nelson. Donations can be sent to Founder’s Baptist Church.
