Barbara Ann Malveaux Coats, a beloved blessings from the day she was born on June 16, 1960, in Eunice Louisiana, to Virginia Guillory and Curtis Malveaux. She was the fifth of fifteen children and was baptized at Saint Ann Catholic Church in 1969. Barbara attended school in Eunice, LA where she graduated from Eunice High School in 1979.
After high school, Barbara moved to Houston, Texas, where she embarked on a meaningful career devoted to serving others, a path that brought her immense joy and fulfillment. Known for her witty personality, kind heart, and infectious smile. Barbara had a unique ability to brighten any room she entered. Her warmth and generosity touched touched all who knew her, and she will be forever be remembered as a remarkable wife, mother, sister and friend.
On November 4, 2024, Barbara transitioned from this earthly life to join our Lord and Savior. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and kindness that will be cherished by her family and friends. Barbara is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Guillory, father, Curtis Malveaux, her brother, Stacy Malveaux, her beloved son, Jamal Amron and her beloved niece, Kiana Morris.
She is mourned by her devoted husband, James Coats, and her deeply cherished children: Tony Miller Jr., Jada Clark. Alongside them, her siblings: JoAnn Guillory (Houston), Janice Guillory (Lake Charles, LA), Joseph Guillory (Eunice, LA), Ricky Guillory (Mary)(Houston), John Wayne Malveaux (Eunice,LA), Kenneth Malveaux (Eunice, LA), Mona Malveaux (Houston), Patrick Malveaux (Lisa)(Sydney, OH), Sharon Malveaux(Houston), Shane Malveaux (Eunice, LA), Shawn Malveaux (Houston), Katina Morris (Lowell)(Baytown), and Lashonda Guillory (Houston) and a host of nieces and nephews. They all carry forward her memory, celebrating the love and light she brought into their lives. Her legacy of compassion and joy lives on in those who were blessed to know her. May her soul rest peacefully in the arms of our Lord.
A visitation for Barbara will be held Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 527 S Houston Ave, Humble, TX 77338. A celebration of life will occur Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 527 S Houston Ave, Humble, TX 77338. A committal service will occur Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 21723 Aldine Westfield Rd, Humble, TX 77338.
