Barbara worked at the vet clinic where I took my cats; she helped me get on there to what I consider the best years of my life. It was there we worked along side each other and where we became family. Barbara was the toughest cookie I know. She was kind, compassionate and caring to those she loved and those she served over the years. Even though life took us on different paths, I will always remember her with fondness. Michael, I recall the story you told me of the "bandage" your Mom made for your injury as a boy and I smile at your Mom's ingenuity! She loved you, Jim and Jennifer, along with her large circle of friends and family. To the Potignano family and of course her best friend and sister Sherri, (Donald, too) I pray for you through this difficult time. Much love to you all.

I remember my Aunt Bobbie so well from my childhood in New Jersey.
When we moved to Ireland there was a period of time where I lost touch with her, but through the power of social media I was able to get to know my godmother all over again and it was glorious! I miss you Aunt Bobbie! To Michael and Jimmy I am truly sorry for your loss. Be comforted in the knowledge that Uncle Mike and Aunt Bobbie are together once again. My sympathy and love to you all. ❤

Barbara worked with me at my veterinary hospital for nine years. She was so wonderful to work with: she could make us smile even on the toughest days. Barbara made the world a little better every day and I will miss her. To Sherry, Micheal and Jimmy, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Barbara was a modern day hero. She faced serious battles as a fighter. In the middle of those fights she always cared about others and was always there for the under dog. She loved with all her heart. I learned so much from her and Sherry. They were a force together
This world is not the same without her

Barbara was the first of Dennis’s friends that I met . We hit it off instantly . We spent so many weekends together . Barbara was so much fun and so kind and so thoughtful . I didn’t hesitate asking her to be the godmother of my son. I love her and I will miss her too. Rest in peace Barbara .

Bobby was my first cousin and I am so shocked & sadden to know that she has passed away. I pray that she is in a place of peace and comfort. I know that her sister Sherry Ann is truly heartbroken & that hurts me to see her go thru this. I remember Bobby & Mike from years ago when I was just a kid, they were so in love and fun to be around. I know that Mike is happy to welcome her to heaven. I also remember when Bobby lived in Clark NJ only a few blocks from my parents, John & Corrine Quagliato. May God Hold you in the Palm of his hands Bobby as your soul is going to be sadly missed by so many. Many great memories of you and your family. To your sisters and brothers God Be with You all. So sad to lose a sibling. RIP your memory will always be alive.

I’m so sorry to hear about Barbara’s sudden death.

I worked with Barbara at Spanish Meadows Meridian Care for about 5 or 6 years before I retired in 2015, and really appreciated her knowledge of good office business practices, her attention to detail in her work, and her great sense of humor...which made our daily accounting duties much more enjoyable. Barbara’s sister Sherry also worked in our office for a while, so I was introduced to Barbara’s other first name ”Bobbie”...but unfortunately she was already “Barbara” to me...and I wasn’t ever able to refer to her by any other name.

I will greatly miss Barbara Potignano. May she Rest In Peace.

So many memories when Barbara and Sherry and I worked together at Excel. We made quite a team. Three Italian ladies...I think the director was terrified when we put our heads together and told him what needed to be done. Barbara always had my back. She taught me so much! I am heartbroken for all of you. She will be missed.
