Betty "Nanny" Stewart

Betty F. Stewart, 79, of Huffman Texas passed away on January, 31, 2012. Known simply as ‘Nanny’ by most people and almost all of the children in her life, Betty was a true “kid magnet” and every child that new her loved as much as she loved them. Early in her life, she spent 30 years working in a doctor’s office and teaching Sunday school in Alabama. Later when she moved to Texas, Betty became a member of Huffman Church where she would be seen for over 15years. She also enjoyed staying active with her friends and being independent in her later years. Betty is predeceased by her parents Curtis and Pluma Fleming; her sisters Sue Goza, Mary Finley and Nancy Stillson; as well as her brothers Kenneth Fleming and Bobby Fleming. She is survived by her daughter Allyson Johnson, son James Alan Stewart, 6 grandchildren; Nick Stewart, Mollie Hearne, Kimberly Jill Martin, Christopher Oder, Emily Roach and Jeff Stewart, as well as great grandchildren; Caleb Martin, Lexi Maloney, Ty Stewart, Tyler Stewart, Trey Stewart, Jonah Hearne, Seth Hearne, Isaac Roach, and Hailey Stewart. A visitation will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home located at 21723 Aldine Westfield Road, Humble, Texas 77338 on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 6:00PM-8:00PM and a Funeral Service will take place on Friday, February 3, 2012 at Huffman Church in Huffman, Texas at 1:00PM with an interment to follow at Huffman Cemetery.
