Carl Lester Bruer Sr.

Carl Lester Bruer Sr., age 78, passed away on May 25, 2026. Born on December 15, 1947, in Charleston, WV, Carl was the son of Pete and Cecilia Alice Buer. A resident of Conroe, Texas, he will be remembered with enduring respect and affection by all who knew him.

Carl leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Gladine Pannell Bruer, and three children: James Michael Bruer, Carl L Bruer II, and Denitra L Bruer. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Carl III, D’Andre, Avery, Tyler, Caiden, Carmela Bruer, and Naomi Robinson.

He is survived by his brother, Jack Bruer of South Charleston, WV. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jim (Pete) Bruer, and his sisters, Mabel Harris, Adelle White, and Betty Brown.

Carl is also survived by his brothers-in-law: Jim (JP) Pannell and Walter ( Cookie) Pannell of Charleston, WV, and Tyrone Broden of Detroit, MI; and his sisters-in-law: Candi Margaret Bruer of Charleston, WV, Leona (Cat) Pannell Herbert, Ruby Brown, and Shelby Pannell of Detroit, MI, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

There will be no funeral service.
