Carol Jean Gravelle

Carol Jean Gravelle, 80, of Spring, TX, went to her heavenly home December 12th at 8 pm after battling cancer. She was born in Johnson County, North Carolina to Ronnie Lee Norris and Lillie Person Pilkington who are now deceased.

Carol had seventeen siblings. They are as followed, from the oldest to the youngest:

Carol was previously married to Charles L. Ward and Richard D. Clemens who are both deceased. She remarried in 1977 to Robert Gravelle making a loving home together for 39 years. They met working at Patrick Henry airport in Newport News, Virginia. They relocated to Texas and worked together for 25 years in their own business doing carpentry work. She retired and enjoyed working in her yard adorning it for every season for all to enjoy and also decorating her beautiful home. Always welcoming those who came to visit, Carol’s family was her pride and joy!

She is survived by her three children Alvin Curtis Ward and wife Linda Davis of Spring, TX, Brenda Beane and husband James Beane of Spring, TX and Sharon Lanier-Denning and husband Terry Denning of Jacksonville, FL. Step-children Gayle Wellington of Newport News, VA, Donna Lisa Allen and husband Wayne Allen of Newport News, VA, Robert Duane Gravelle of Newport News, VA. Carol is preceded in death by her step son Gerald Wayne Wood.

Carol has also left to cherish her memory her ten grandchildren:

Brian Skipper and wife Lynn, Jason Ward and wife Kim, Erik Davis and wife Mary, Jake Davis and wife Tiffany, James Beane amd wife Brenda, Brandon Beane and wife Codi, Ryan Hollinger,

Robert Hollinger Jr and wife Kelly, Jeremy Hollinger and wife Courtney and Mosley Wellington.

To complete Carol’s family, is her fifteen great grandchildren that will never forget her love.
