

Carolyn White Vercher, beloved mother and grandmother, her most loved role of her life, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on March 12, 1942, in Shreveport, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Heyward Wyatt White and Eunice Lava Boykin White.
Carolyn married Donald Ray Vercher on October 20, 1961, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She is survived by her devoted family, including her daughters, Debra Lynn Frazier and her fiancé Steven Newt Buller, and Diane Rene Buller; her son, David Raymond Vercher and his wife Donna Marie Vercher. She is also survived by her brothers, Samuel Terry White and his wife Brenda White of Greenwood, Louisiana. Carolyn leaves behind 14 grandchildren—Dustin, Blake, Blisse, Kirby, Cecily, Carly, Madalynn, Stefanie, Andrew, Jennifer, Rebekah, Haley, Brianna, and Meagan—and 12 great-grandchildren—Elijah, Noah, Chloe, Harlow, Mason, Ashton, Mackenzie, Brendon, Izabella, Yazmine, Raelynn, and Shelby—with two more great-grandchildren on the way. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Donald Ray Vercher; her parents; and brothers Howard Ray White and Richard Allen White.
In her professional life, she spent many years in the Oil & Gas Industry, in Shreveport, LA, and later at United Gas Pipeline Co. in Houston, TX. She was a devoted Executive Admin Assistant to the Executive VP and retired with over 25 years of service.
Carolyn found joy in her personal interests, which included shopping, gardening, reading, crafts, and playing the piano. She was deeply involved with her grandchildren and their activities. Carolyn was active in her church and loved participating in activities and travel with the Spring Timers group and her AARP group.
Carolyn was a devoted member of the St. James Catholic Church, the Spring Timers Group and Spring AARP group.
Visitation will be held on July 9, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX, 77338.
The funeral service will take place on July 10, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. James Catholic Church, located at 22800 Aldine Westfield Rd, Spring, TX, 77373. A committal service will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 21723 Aldine Westfield Rd, Humble, TX, 77338, at 11:00 am.
Carolyn will be remembered for her devoted love to her family, life long friends, and her dearest cousin Peggy Monkhouse Malmstrom and all whose lives she touched.
