Cecil Grover Spates, Sr passed away on April 17, 2014, to go be with our father in Heaven. He was born on December 22, 1932 and is survived by his children: Thomas Michael Spates, Mary Melinda Groening, David Eugene Spates, Sr, Ruth Ann and husband Barry Stephenson, Brenda Sue and husband Clayton LaValley, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, in addition to a numerous of friends. Funeral Services are being held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home at 10:00, following up with the graveside services held at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery at 1:00. Cecil was a good man with a good heart and will be missed by many.
