Charlie was born on September 16, 1961 in Henderson, North Carolina. He was a loving father, husband, and animal lover. On Holidays and weekends, he loved going to the beach and collecting sea shells with his family. He always enjoyed a good laugh reminiscing about the days he spent with his great granddaddy who he called Pop. He rescued many cats and dogs and showed them the love and compassion they deserved. He was a kind gentle man and will be missed by all that knew him. May he rest in peace.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Jean Champion; his son Christopher Champion and his girlfriend Stacy; his brother-in-law, Patrick Mauthe; his sister, Crystal Eatmon; his brother, Bruce Champion; his mom, Rose Champion; and his dogs, Benny, Ponyboy, and Monster.
