He was born in Houston on February 11,1947, to parents Efrain and Ramona (Hinojosa) Segovia. Claudio graduated from Smiley High School, and also attended Prairie View A&M College. Claudio was a proud Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army.
In July of 1971, Claudio married the love of his life, Minerva Guerrero. Claudio was a true Jack of all Trades, having been a Real Estate Agent, Carpenter and Teacher.
Claudio’s true testament was his fervent relationship with God. He has always been an active member of the Church; he excelled in his passion of bringing as many people as possible to Christ. As much as he loved God his other passions included the game of Golf, having been a part of Golf leagues or going to the driving range in his later years for some fun and exercise. He never met a stranger and made and kept friends for decades, including many of his past students who still kept in touch. He was truly inspirational, having always shared his wisdom to anyone in need.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ramona and Efrain Segovia, and his older brother Efrain Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Minerva. His oldest daughter Veronica and her 3 children, Kristopher, Kaila and Matthew. His middle daughter Elizabeth and her children Kendall and Isabella and his only son, Aaron.
Psalm 73:26 – “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever.”
