Consuelo De La Paz Chicas-Gonzales

Consuelo De La Paz Gonzales (Connie Chicas) is the daughter of Alfonso and Florida Chicas. She was a 1998 graduate of Spring High School and a graduate of the University of Houston Downtown. She was competitive and loved playing and watching sports. In school she ran track, played volleyball and basketball. She is survived by her two children, two sisters, two brothers and both parents.

Connie was a very spirited young lady whose smile lit up a room and her drive to live life to the fullest was contagious. She was caring to all those who knew her and she was determined to make you feel better no matter what obstacles came her way. She was the aunt who spoiled all her nieces and nephews and they loved her dearly as we all did. Connie was the one who brought others together, always remembering special events, birthdays, etc. She truly loved people and seeing others happy and celebrating.

Her faith, family, and friends are what made Connie such a wonderful individual. She was a beacon of hope and inspiration to so many. From an early age, up until her passing, Connie’s commitment to helping and serving others was a landmark trait. It is for her selflessness and Christ-like spirit that she will be most remembered.
