The service for Dareen today was absolutely beautiful. There are so many who love and adore her. I personally will miss her beautiful smiling face each time I saw her at work. She was the most wonderful caring person I have had the pleasure to have known. To her family please know she loved you all so very much and was so very proud of her children. God bless all of the family you will be in my prayers. You have a wonderful guardian angel watching over you each and every second. I love you Dareen and I know you are at peace and have that beautiful smile on your face.

Sincerely,
Cathy Hightower

Dareen, throughout the years we both got on with our busy lives and were not in frequent contact, but every time we spoke you made me feel so special in the way you asked about and my family. You showed so much empathy in the way you responded to each situation regarding my family's challenges. You very much wanted to help others in every way you can. You especially wanted the best for your children in the way you researched the schools you wanted them to attend, I remembered having conversations with you about the various preschools you were investigating for your children to attend. DAREEN!!! You are one special lady and everyone you have come in contact with in this life feels the same way I do. Your husband is blessed having you in his live as his wife and your two children is especially blessed having you as their mother. My family and I will never forget you, for you have touched our souls, we will always love you and will continue to pray for you in the afterlife. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and with your family. MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS. SONIA

I met Dareen over forty years ago at The Superior Oil Company where we both worked. I always saw her during our morning breaks and lunch, she was always alone with that shy smile on her face, her down-to-earth demeanor encouraged me to gravitate towards her introducing myself and the rest is history. She was around when I got married and when both of my children were born and for all of my family's important occasions, she is also my son's GODMOTHER. God broke the mold after he created Dareen, because people like her are very rare. My family and I will miss her very much.

My first memory of Dareen was when she and Juan Briseno became our new supervisors out at ECDC. She was warm, caring and compassionate from the first moment I met her. She always, and I mean always cared about how I was doing not only professionally but personally as well. Dareen moved on to other positions but we kept in touch. She left without fixing me the german chocolate cake she kept promising me. So be sure, that when I get to heaven I am going to ask where the kitchen is and go get her so she can fulfill her promise. I will forever remember her smile and how she lovingly talked about her family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
