of 30. Dave was born on May 25, 1993 to his parents Dave Gil Sr. and Beatriz Medina.
After Dave graduated from Humble High School in 2011, he attended Lone Star College. Dave
had a love for sports, but basketball was his #1 sport. He enjoyed traveling and his favorite
place was the Bahamas. He liked to cook and he enjoyed fishing. He loved to spend time fishing
and barbecuing with his father. He loved cooking his favorite dishes, barbecuing at the lake, and
going to the movies with his mother.
Dave will forever be remembered for his big smile, kind heart, fun personality, and the love he
had for his family. His fearless and tenacious attitude along with the warrior mindset he strongly
displayed during his brief, but courageous battle with cancer was an extraordinary legacy left
behind to those who loved him to carry with us and to follow when we go through our own
battles in life.
Dave is preceded in death by his grandparents, David and Leonor Gil, and Jose Elias Medina.
He is survived by his parents, Dave Gil Sr. and Beatriz Medina; grandmother, Maria Ana
Medina; as well as aunts, uncles, and many cousins who will forever miss and love him.
A visitation for Jr." will be held Sunday, July 30, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home and Cem, 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338. A celebration of life will occur Monday, July 31, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338. A committal service will occur Monday, July 31, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Calvary HIll Cemetery, 21723 Aldine Westfield Rd, Humble, TX 77338.
