Dorothy Pauline “Polly” Norwood Farmer, 85, passed away January 9, 2013. She was born June 26, 1927 in Lubbock, Texas. Polly attended high school in Lubbock. Further education included Texas Tech University and Business College. She was a member of Tallowood Baptist Church, Tennwood Ladies Golf Association and various bridge clubs. Polly was an avid golfer and bridge player. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Bonnie Norwood; brothers, Hollis Foster, Joe Bob Foster, and Eudale Norwood. She leaves behind her loving husband James Inzer Farmer; children, Bradford Farmer and wife Sharon, Mike Farmer and wife Carol; grandchildren, Blake Farmer and Randy Marsh; great-granddaughter, Abby, to be born in February; and sister, Joy Norwood Taylor. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2013 with a visitation one hour prior at Calvary Hill Funeral Home. Internment will take place at Calvary Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers include Blake Farmer, Pat Foster, Bob Foster, Mark Taylor, and Kyle Taylor and honorary pallbearer, Randy Marsh. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Tallowood Baptist Church, 555 Tallowood Rd., Houston, Texas 77024 in memory of Pauline Farmer.
