Loving husband, father, grandfather and friend; German Antonio Franco 66 went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 18, 2016. Born on March 17, 1950 in Cali Colombia, German moved to New York where he met his wife of 43 years Deborah Irene Franco. In New York he started his career in produce at Pathmark. German continued his career in produce when he relocated to Houston, Texas.
German was a father to three children Annamaria, Michael and wife Rachel, and Kirk and wife Brittany. He was a devoted grandfather to his grandchildren Gabriella, Gianlorenzo, Aubrie and Preslie. His biggest passion in life was providing for and spending quality time with his family. Regardless of the situation he always had a positive attitude and a bright smile on his face.
Preceded in death by his brother Roberto Franco, Mother Ruth Avilas-Franco, and Father Miguel Franco. He is survived by his Aunt, who raised him, Olga Plata-Franco. His sister Mercedes Correa and her husband Antonio, sister-in-law Denise Zubulidis, brother-in-law Gerard Irene, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He may be gone from our sight... but he will never be gone from our hearts.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, April 23, 2016 in the Chapel of Calvary Hill Funeral Home,
Interment to follow in Calvary Hill Cemetery.
