Gladys Maria Zurita

A devoted wife to Luis Moya for 55 years, Gladys and Luis shared an inseparable bond, supporting and loving each other through thick and thin. Their love story was one of mutual strength and unwavering companionship, a true example of partnership.

Gladys was known for her selflessness, always putting family first. She was nurturing and dedicated not only to her immediate family but also to her dear mother, siblings, and all those around her. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life; she was a devout Catholic who remained steadfast in her beliefs. A warrior in life, she faced every obstacle with grace and perseverance, always looking for the positive side of things.

Whether caring for her own family or visiting the sick, she always made sure others were well taken care of. Her compassion knew no bounds.

Gladys also embraced life with joy—she was social, fun, and loved family get-togethers. She often hosted parties just to keep her loved ones close. An amazing cook, she shared her love through the meals she prepared, always ensuring that everyone felt at home and cherished.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Delia Alulema; father, Jorge H. Zurita; brothers Galo and Jorge H. Zurita; and her youngest brother, Marco Crespo.

She is survived by her loving husband, Luis Moya; children Darwin, Jessica, and Cindy; seven grandchildren; and sisters Marcia and Martha Crespo.

Gladys will always be remembered for her unwavering faith, boundless love, and joyful spirit. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Gladys Maria Zurita, de 73 años, de Humble, Texas, falleció pacíficamente el lunes 27 de enero de 2025. Nació el 14 de agosto de 1951 en Ecuador, hija de Delia Alulema y Jorge Zurita.

Devota esposa de Luis Moya durante 55 años, Gladys y Luis compartían un vínculo inseparable, apoyándose y amándose mutuamente en las buenas y en las malas. Su historia de amor fue una de fortaleza y compañerismo inquebrantable, un verdadero ejemplo de matrimonio.

Gladys era conocida por su altruismo, siempre poniendo a la familia en primer lugar. Era cariñosa y dedicada no solo a su familia inmediata, sino también a su querida madre, hermanos y todos los que la rodeaban. Su fe fue una piedra angular de su vida; era una católica devota que se mantuvo firme en sus creencias. Una guerrera en la vida, enfrentó cada obstáculo con gracia y perseverancia, siempre buscando el lado positivo de las cosas.

La precedieron en la muerte su madre, Delia Alulema; su padre, Jorge H. Zurita; sus hermanos Galo y Jorge H. Zurita; y su hermano menor, Marco Crespo.

Le sobreviven su amado esposo, Luis Moya e hijos Darwin, Jessica y Cindy; siete nietos; y sus hermanas Marcia y Martha Crespo.

Gladys siempre será recordada por su fe inquebrantable, su amor ilimitado y su espíritu alegre. Su legado vivirá en los corazones de quienes la conocieron y la amaron.
