Helena Constable Nelson, 77, passed away on May 7, 2026. Born on August 18, 1948, Helena was a beloved presence in the lives of many and will be remembered with enduring respect and affection. Helena resided in Houston, Texas.
Helena is survived by her brothers, Gills Constable, Emile Constable, Fabian Constable, Steven Constable ; and her sisters Delphina Randolph, Josephine Constable and Emelia Harry. Helena is also survived by her children Solomon Nelson, Karen Lorto and Suzie Solomon, and was preceded in death by her child, The late Hiltrude Constable Hamilton. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Lisa, Liela, Bienvenido Jr. (Papo), Abajome, Tony Jr. (TJ), Laura, Gabriel, Jahmilla, Gerald, Davan, and 13 great-grandchildren. Helena is also survived by her extended family and loved ones, Aunty Nerisa and Family, Aunty CB and Family, her beloved godchildren, many cousins, relatives, and close friends too numerous to name, as well as cherished family and friends from Saint Lucia, St. Croix, the United States Virgins Islands, British Virgin Islands, England, Canada, Martinique, and France.
Helena was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Euganie Constable, and her brothers Lucious Constable and John Constable.
Visitation will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home and Cem, 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338, US, on June 12, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at the same location on June 12, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm. A Committal Service will then take place on June 12, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
Active Pallbearers will be Bienvenido Ji. Estien, Solomon Nelson, Abajomie Estien, Tony Jr. (TJ), Gerald Estien, and Gerald Solomon.
