Hilda J. Haws

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Hilda Haws went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the age of 81.

Hilda was born on August 8, 1933 to Ben & Josephine Blackward. She grew up in Macedonia, Illinois. She met Herbert O. Haws in Cairo, Illinois and they were married on August 30, 1953 and recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. She lived her life as a Godly, kind, loving, humble, selfless woman who inspired all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents Ben & Josephine Blackward, her sisters Rosemary, & Lawana, and her brother, Jerry, She is survived by her husband Herbert, her children Dennis, Russell & Pamela, her 9 beloved grandchildren, her 13 precious great-grandchildren, her brothers, Herman and Bennie and wife Paulena, sister-in-law Becky Blackward-Grothoff and many nieces and nephews.

She is a longtime member of Northview Baptist Church where services will be held on Thursday, April 30th at 10:30 am. 6411 F.M. 1960 W. Humble, Tx 77338. Visitation will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral home on Wednesday, April 29th from 5-8 pm.
