In the beginning – Indera Narinesingh was born in San Fernando, Trinidad to father Mahadeo Sooklal and mother Radhica Sooklal on November 16, 1964.
In the late 1970’s she met the love of her life, Sterling Narinesingh and they were married and moved to Houston, Texas to begin building a life. Indera and Sterling’s love story grew, and they welcomed three children in to the world; Trisha Narinesingh, Tristan Narinesingh and Nesha Narinesingh. She stayed married to her better half for 40 years.
Indera was a person of incredible faith and spent her days, praying, giving and loving her family and friends fiercely. Indera did this even while dealing with her own trials and tribulations because she truly put others before herself. Her relationship with God was admirable, her faith never wavered even in the situations that looked impossible. She planted seeds of faith, hope and healing in people’s life through her fervent prayers. Indera’s life exemplified honesty, integrity and loyalty. She delivered the truth with unconditional love and support. She was filled with discernment which she used to care for the people around her. She encouraged people to love God whole-heartedly and deepen their relationship with him. She was a modern-day disciple. Indera built a beautiful legacy by showing us the true meaning of endurance, perseverance, and tenacity. In the words of Indera, “Count it all joy”.
