We have such a sweet and beautiful friendship!  I’ll never forget the first time I called you after we’d been penpals for nearly two years!  I was so nervous!  You answered the phone with the most excited voice, almost singing,”Hellooooo Donna Rucker !!! (Rufus was still with me then.  He went Home to God on 17 December 2011). I’d never felt more excited to hear a voice in my life!!  Through writing my letters and then our mutual sharing of phone calls and visits, and then nothing touched my heart as your sacrifices taking care of your own sick husband, that you could put in an appearance at the Houston Temple for my marriage to Ed in October of 2016!!!  I think of our phone calls, talking of your mom, Dick, the kids and grands, our family histories!!! The beautiful blessings you received in times of illness.  I miss you Jane!!!  I miss our hugs!!!  I miss being able to pick up the phone to call you or in answer to your call to me and to hear your voice and just catch each other up.
I think the greatest blessings I find now are all rolled into one!  I know it broke your heart to not be able to be there for Kathy and her babies!  And little did anyone realize Dick would join you so quickly!  But in an extremely short period of time, you were met on the most beautiful side of the veil, by JESUS, and then by your parents and grandparents, As well as other family and friends you were I’m certain so surprised and SOOO HAPPY to see!!!  
Now, as much as I dooo sooo miss our Association, this huge Happy smile plasters itself across my face with each thought of you!!!  I picture you with your family There, and know in my heart of your joy, as much as I know you miss your babies and friends still here!

At a loss for words. Jane is the best that could have come in to my life when she did. Oh the memories, not just U Haul life but way beyond. Life eventually got in the way, but we still spoke, just not near enough. I will always have a special place in my heart for Jane. I enjoyed the excitement when she spoke of Grandchildren, and kids, Dick and the rest of her dear family. Dick ,Kathy, Michael you are in my prayers.

Jane & I corresponded by mail for the first couple of years we first knew one another(about 2005-2007.)  I was a homebound caregiver to my husband with Parkinson's and Lewybody Dementia.  The time came that our letter writing should move more  to up close and personal.  I made the call, nervous if she'd talk to me in person.  Imagine my sweet shock when, as she answered her phone, I heard, "HELLOOOO, DONNA RUCKER!!!!  HOW ARE YOU DOIN'?!?!?!"  From that day till this, she became one of my most precious friends.  Now, when I was about to take the step to marry again, in 2016, even though she couldn't be with us for the ceremony, Jane, left her own ailing sweetheart at home long enough to be in our receiving party at our venue, The Houston Texas Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and met us literally at the entry door as we walked out, Mr. and Mrs.  I'd never been so excited to see anyone!  Her presence was one of our sweetest congratulations gifts received that day!  Jane and I have actively continued our friendship, and I have enjoyed the great blessings of her association, as well as many of her local family members, and have come to love each of you in your own individual circumstances.  I'm blessed in more ways than I can count, to have known this beautiful person with a heart bigger than Texas, and a deep desire to be the best wife and mother and grandma, yes, and friend, that she could possibly be.  I'll miss my sweet Jane and our visits!  I'm sooooo grateful we have the sweet memories of her attendance on our wedding day!  God be with you, Jane, now and always, and when it's time, your Mom will join you and you'll laugh and celebrate seeing her again, AND her knowing who you are!!  
I love you my friend!!  We'll check in on Dick and the kids and stay in touch with them!!  See you when it's my turn to come Home!!♥♥♥♥♥

The first time I met Jane was October 8, 2016. This was the day Donna and got married. She met us as we walked out the door.  Donna was so excited she was there. It was a fantastic surprise and I will always be grateful she was there. We miss you and love you.  Much love and condolences to the family.

I am so sorry for your loss. My heart hurts for you and your family. I love you and am here for you.

I remember the first time I met her when we work together at U-Haul and I always talked to her over the phone and she was so sweet and straight forward and then when I met her she was still the same way, the best part not only did we click and became cool. Her daughter Kathy and me became the  best of friends. Jane  you will  be missed but never forgotten. We have always had the best conversation whenever we talked and always was a pleasure, Much Love!!!!!!

Jane was my dear sister. We were close in age, I am two years younger, so pretty much grew up together. She was my close friend and playmate and we protected each other (at least most of the time), even though we loved to torment each other as well. As we matured so did our relationship, and I developed a great fondness and admiration for her.  Even though short in height, she was strong-willed and basically not afraid of anything, yet very loving and kind at the same time. She was quite talented in creating and tackling beautiful pieces of furniture that simply amazed me. She was funny, witty, always had an opinion, and just a complete joy to be around. Even though life took us a great distance apart as adults, we never lost our love and fondness for each other. I will miss her deeply, and she will always live in my heart. 

This photo was way back in our prime. Reality adds over 40 years to this picture, but this is how I have and always will remember her.  I will miss you sweetie. 

Jane had a beautiful and loving spirit.i loved working with her and she always had a kind word to say when working with her at Uhaul.i loved have. She was my work mother and she was so kind to me. I will never forget the quilt she made for my some when he was born. It was so special to me and my son loved it. I couldn't get it away from him to even wash it without him crying for it. So I had to sneak it when he was asleep. It was a wonderful heart felt gift. I and he will never forget it. What a wonderful lady. I know God had a need for her that's why he brought her home. They say God always take the best of us first. I believe his need was greater than ours. I will never forget this beautiful woman. God bless her family and friends. She will be missed

how does one start. I love you. my world has not been the same since Monday at 11:09. I only was to take you to the dr not to call 911 and 45 mins later you pass away. its so unfair. I know your not  in pain anymore and God needed you more. this was so unexpected. I hate for the last 4 months the DR'S messed your life up. If I would have know this would be the out come I would over never told you to go see the Dr.  I still try to pick up the phone an call you.  when I walk in the house I still look for you to be on the couch. I will miss our phone calls our shopping our going to lunch our everything.  your grandchildren became your life you spoiled them like no other they are missing you everyday as we all are. I know you are looking over us and I will keep being the woman you thought me to be.  I pray that I am half the mother to my kids as you were to me. you taught me how to love yet your taught me how to protect.   I love you and I know every day I will see you or hear you.  God has a angle and I hope you see Grandpa and yall can catch up on old times.  When you see Chris give him a hug tell him I miss him. love you to the moon and back.
