She moved to Houston at the age of 14 and graduated from John H. Reagan High School in Houston Heights TX., where she met & married her husband of 35 years, David Harris, who preceeded her in rest.
Janie worked all of her adult life and she retired from Harris County Appraisal District after 25 years of loyal service in January of 2017.
Janie had a humble and giving heart, always at hand to help friends when in need. She loved each one in her own special way.

Janie Wanda Harris was a bright, shining light in this world, and we take solace in the fact that she will live in our hearts and memories. We also know that we will one day see her again when we join her in our Father's house.
