Jeanne was such a loving woman; she was the most kind and gentle person anyone has ever known. She was selfless, putting everyone one else before her and not wanting anything in return. She was always thinking of others including animals. She loved animals and all living things! She was a zoo docent for many years, volunteering her time to work with the animals as well as a member of the SPCA. She was a firm believer that since animals do not have a “voice,” she needed to help be their voice. Jeanne was also a member of the Mercer Society at the Arboretum. The Mercer Arboretum was her favorite place to be surrounded by nature and all of God’s beautiful creations.
Jeanne was a loving wife, married to Bart for 34 years. She was very proud of the fact that she raised three wonderful kids. She was also an awesome grandmother. Her grandsons are going to miss her vibrant smile and her infectious laugh. Jeanne was an optimist, always looking at the positives in situations and seeing the best in everyone.
Jeanne was a very spiritual woman. She was a strong, devout Catholic and knew she was going to heaven when her time came. She is now looking down and watching over us as she has done all these years in her time on earth.
