Jeff was an avid sports fan and loved football and basketball, especially the Houston Rockets and the Houston, Texans. Jeff had a love for basketball as well and enjoyed playing for hours whether at the neighborhood park, or at the nearest recreation center with his dad and his brother, where they ran the entire court. Afterwards, he would tell his dad he must have a hot and spicy sandwich from McDonalds!
Jeff, accepted Christ as a teenager at Love Temple Deliverance Church, where the late Apostle and Prophetess Dennis Douglas were Pastors.
Jeff will be forever remembered and loved by his parents, family, and friends. He leaves behind to mourn, his parents; Melissa Edwards and Steven Smith; his siblings, Stephanie Furlow- Smith (38), Octavia Baker (33), Steven Smith Jr (32), Stevie K. Smith (32) & Morgan Jae Schexnayder (20); his Uncle Richard and Aunt Tina Campbell, Aunt Leah Freeman, Aunt Mary Smith, Aunt Gloria Hawkins, Uncle Myron Smith, Uncle Gerald Small, Uncle Jimmie Dow, cousins Monique Murphy, Kaila Murphy, Michael Murphy and Isaac Murphy and a host of other family and friends.
Jeff is preceded in rest by his older sister Marneisha D. Smith.
