My emails to Deborah have come back undeliverable and she doesn't have a "contact me" tab on the Guest Book.

I work at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Collins, MS where Mr. Cowart was a resident, and he always smiled and winked his eye at me each day I spoke to him. His death was sudden and it saddened me more. We will miss that twinkle in his eye.

Even though I've lost contact with Hugh's family since his death in 1987, except for John Michael & Paula, I do remember his Uncle Jesse and Katherine well.  He did, indeed, always have a wonderful smile and they were most gracious to me.  I also remember Willie and Oscar.  I was surprised to see that all the brothers are gone.  My sincere condolences to Jesse's family during this time.  I know you will cherish the memories you have of your Dad forever.

I only knew him a short time but I never saw a more giving and hardworking individual. I feel very blessed to have known him. Heaven definitely got an awesome Angel.

I loved this man.  I love to tell stories of when a bunch of us worked together as a crew.  It was more like a family than a crew.  The jobs we did are my fondest memories of my career.  We had fun on and off the job, certainly not the way it is today.  Every job was better when this hard working old man was working beside you.  I feel lucky to be a small part of this man's long life.  May his family have comfort in the fact this man has been loved by many people.

How fortunate you were to share in your dads long life!  It is especially difficult to lose our parents.....but fondly remember your beautiful childhood memories and the friendship you shared as adults.  I am thinking of all of you in this time of transition.
