OBITUARY

Joseph Earl Harris

December 21, 1937May 14, 2020

Joseph "Joe" Earl Harris, 82, of Humble, Texas, entered into rest on May 14, 2020. He was born in Houston, Texas on December 21, 1937 to parents Pauline Montalbano and Ray Harris. He was married to Norma Jean Bennett Harris for over 30 years, until her passing in 2012.

Joe was a jack of all trades, and spent much of his working life jumping from field to field. He had a hunger for knowledge that paired perfectly with his love of food, especially spaghetti noodles. Over the years, he had worked in construction, as a tug boat cook, a short order cook, and even a shoe shine man.

Left to cherish Joe's memory are his sons: Troy Butler and wife Lori along with their 4 children, George Butler and his 4 children, Jason Harris and his 3 children; siblings: Camille Osborne of Katy, Paula Kurland of Tyler, Billy Harris and wife Kathy of Bedias, and Brenda Marrow of Bedias.

A visitation will be held in Joe's honor on Saturday, May 23, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. within the Chapel of Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 21723 Aldine Westfield Rd, Humble, Texas 77338. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m., after which he will be escorted to Hayman Cemetery in Coldspring, Texas so that he may be reunited with his beloved wife.
