I'm in shock I just found out today. To the family of Joseph I'm so sorry for your loss. I may not known him for a long time but I would see him ever Thursday for his weekly haircuts, he was a very good guy... Never be forgotten bro 

I wanted to extend my sincere condolences on behalf of the Collins family for the sudden and tragic loss of Joseph. Despite my best efforts, I was unable to attend his service today due to my job supporting the military during the real-world crisis in Ukraine. May the Lord’s loving arms embrace and the blessing of His good grace console you and your family during this difficult time. Though we never met, I heard nothing but great things about Joe and you can be very proud of the fine young man you raised. We pray that you will celebrate his life and be grateful for the wonderful memories with him that will live forever. I would like to share my firm belief that if you have faith in Him, you will reunite with your handsome son one day in heaven! Please let me know a charity or non-profit where I can make a donation in his name!

I have known Joey since I was 12 years old. We lived in the same neighborhood. I have numerous stories and memories with him. He truly was such a great person and a caring man. Growing up it was just me and my mom who worked so much especially in high school and there were many times she had worked late and I would be scared to be alone or even if I just had a really tough day he would ride his bike to my house and just sit with me so I wasn’t alone or just to keep me company and cheer me up. He was just that type of person. If you needed him he was there. I will never forget the kindness that he showed me over the years. He may not have known it but he had helped me threw many dark times in my life and for that I will always be forever appreciative of that. He will be missed by so many. Praying for his family during this tough time. 

Jojo I known you my whole life. Your mom was my Spanish teacher. We lived just a few minutes from each other and played ball together. I will remember all the memories I have of you and there is many. You have been my friend for over 20 years. Much most importantly you were always my brother. So many times we hung out and were there for each other through good and bad times. You were a real one man. Great heart and selfless person. Always giving and being there when somebody called. I knew you first hand and im glad I got to call you a brother. I will always charish it. You will not be forgotten. Ever. You rest up homie. Dont cause too much trouble up there with my brother adam. Until we meet again bro. I want to say how truly sorry I am for the family and send many prayers yalls way. He will be missed and god finally called him home and he will be perfectly fine now. Hes in great hands. God bless. 

The wonderful thing about having a big family is that I watch my children claiming each other’s friend as their own.  Joey, you were Michael’s friend since the beginning of your lives, but you were also Jordan’s friend, and Lukas’ friend, and Emili’s, Zaida’s, Carlee’s, Jesse’s friend as well.  They claimed you as an honorary Landry and thought of you as their brother.  When I think of you, in my mind, I picture you with that cute little smirky smile.  I will always remember that my kids loved you because we will talk of you often.  Gone, but never forgotten.  Rest in Heaven Joey.

Man we go back to little league baseball together. From the colt 45’s to the magic all the way to Nimitz man. RIP brother! Much love! To the whole Lopez family much love to you all and you’re in my prayers.  This one hurts bad, but all my memories with Joey make me laugh or smile. 

When I think of Joey, many wonderful words come to mind,  but the word that stands out most for me is Joy.  Joey was a Joy.  I will remember his humor and his laughter always. I'm so glad GOD allowed  our paths to cross at Parker Intermediate. What a Joy to have taught him and a blessing to have known him.
