Judy was a spicy fun loving Texas gal.  She taught me how to be a competitive tennis player when we were doubles partners many years ago. She was loud, intense , and fierce when we were in tournaments. Sometimes our shots were hilarious and sometimes scary! But she made me a better player and team member. We also worked professionally together for many years. When Judy had something to say I always listened because she loved all patients and had a passion for patient care. I will miss her!!! Rest In Peace Judy. 

Cary Grant was an English/American actor who was known to say "Judy, Judy, Judy what I am going to do without you". What are we all going to do without Judy Maxine Hays who touched so many hearts and souls. I met Judy through Darla who was a teaching colleague of mine and longtime friend. Judy was always so positive, alert and funny. She loved to tell jokes all the time good and bad. Judy had so many talents but the one that stands out to me was her ability to really listen to what you were saying because she listened with her heart. Now later on she would come to a conclusion about your statement with either a joke or a hug or both. This magnetism led me to help out at their wedding reception. I had designed the cake to her specification of have lots of yellow roses. I never saw Judy so nervous as she was that day. To help her calm down I have extra roses and I made her bridal bouquet right then and there. I also reminded her of her famous quote "Everything is always better after a cold glass of white wine", That seem to do the trick because the rest of the afternoon there was no hick ups and everyone had a good time, R.I.P and take care of all the heavenly animals that are there with you.

My first memory of Judy is how she loved National Lab. Week. I was very involved as well and thought of a futuristic slogan called Drive Through Lab Work . She suggested we have  fun names of our abilities to draw blood and she was named Handle it Roy Hays since she was supervisor, and it stuck. We will always remember JUDY, (aka) "Handle it Roy Hays"😄 She had a specific way to approach every project/task. She was an adventurous person full of fun & laughter. ALWAYS HAD A JOKE.
She had a surprising type voice recording on her home line:: Well, hot dog & cold hamburgers...

Judy manged the clinic lab  through trail and error. I learned a lot from her. Sorry to hear the news of her last years. MDA-Phlebos Unlimited 

I met Ms. Judy at M.D. Anderson. Worked with her at Green Park. When Bird was off. She was a very nice person. After she retired she would come by Mays Clinic and say hello. Praying for the family that God will strengthen each of you in the days and years to come. R.I.P.  Ms. Judy❤️
