Dianne dedicated more than four decades of her life as a nurse throughout the hospital systems in Louisiana and Texas. She spent her life of service caring for patients in hospitals, nursing homes, doctor offices, home health visits and foster homes, but like most Cajuns, she was equally devoted to enjoying life with friends and family.
In her younger days she could be found tearing up the dance floors at Leggetts to music played by musician who went on to become legends.
She was blessed by the birth of her first child in 1970, and the night life slowly began to pale in comparison to the mom life. She spent countless days each summer packing up her girls for weekend adventures. The family could be found almost anywhere camping and fishing or somewhere along the Louisiana and Texas coast building sandcastles, collecting shells or simply strolling down the sandy shore.
These quick trips were not only about spending time with her kids and grandkids, but she used these opportunities to teach her children and grandchildren how to be strong, self-reliant and courageous. Now that they find themselves facing a life without her in it, it is her life lessons that will keep them moving forward with grace and dignity.
