

Karen E. Jeffers, 70, of Spring, Texas passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on August 5, 2024. She was born January 28, 1954, in Corpus Christi TX, the daughter of the late Herman H Quinton and Billie Joe Quinton. After high school she spent her career as an interior designer and purchasing agent, working primarily in the medical field furnishing hospitals.
Before moving to Spring, TX, Karen was an active member of Abundant Life Church in San Antonio, TX. She never let her health dictate her life as she found another spiritual home at Living Water Church of Spring. She loved Jesus, her family, and her friends. She had a lifelong love of painting, gardening, and animals. She also had an avid passion for reading that her mother instilled in her at an early age.
Karen is survived by her son and spouse Mortimer (Sandra) Ennis; stepchildren and their spouses Jason (Angelica) Jeffers, Amy (David) Leavitt; sisters Yvonne (Carl) Callison, Vicki Quinton; brothers James Quinton, John (Karen) Quinton; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Neil Jeffers, and parents Herman and Billie Joe Quinton.
Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 21723 Aldine Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. with John Quinton officiating. Interment will occur Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Fort Sam Houston VA Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
