Lauren Ann Jones

Lauren was born in Houston, Texas to Clarence Swanson Whatley and Clarissa Jane (Greenfield) Whatley on August 24, 1954.

She was a loyal employee of ATT for 37 years until she retired on October 15, 2012. Lauren was always willing to help a friend in need and was well-known for her boisterous, yet contagious laugh and a radiant smile that lit up any room she was in. She had a wicked sense of humor and could find the most mundane things humorous.

Anyone who knew Lauren knew that she dearly loved her children, her grandson, and her dogs with all of her heart and that she was rarely ever seen without a paperback book or her Kindle in her hands.

She is survived by her son, William Lynn Jones, Jr., her daughter, Casey Leeann Jones, her grandson, Seth Michael Jones, her dog Pixie, her grand-dogs, Moxie, China, Roscoe, and Lily, and her brothers Michael Sean Whatley, James Dale LaGrone, and Patrick Rigdon LaGrone.

She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence Swanson Whatley and Clarissa Jane LaGrone.

Though Lauren may be gone from us physically, she will always live on in our hearts, for a soul as vibrant as hers’ simply cannot ever die.
