She was born to Roy and Vernice Instre in Crowley Louisiana.
Leola married John Haines in Houston Tx and they spent many years together.
She loved to fish, golf, travel and spend time with friends and family.
Leola is survived by her loving husband John Haines, her sons Ricky Powell, Russell Haines and Richard Handy III, her brothers Roy Istre and Johnny Istre, and her grandchildren Ashley, Jennifer, Justin, Lillian and Abbigail Handy.
There will be a celebration of life for Leola, date is to be determined.
