Leon Minter Prevost, III was born on May 20, 1962 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the Late Leon Minter Prevost Jr. and Dolores Marie Heim Prevost. He was one of seven children: Debra, Delisa, Anthony, Annette, Terry, and
Daniel. He professed a belief in Christ at an early age. He was baptized into the Catholic Faith at St. Rita Catholic Church in New Orleans, Louisiana.
He attended Lafayette Elementary, Samuel J. Peters Middle, and Warren Easton Fundamental Senior High School, where he received his high school diploma. Brother Leon decided to move forward with a career in Culinary Arts. He put those skills to work as a cook for multiple venues.
Brother Leon was a devoted son, brother, father, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many. He had a crazy sense of humor and hardly ever talked but he had an amazing "Kodak" smile. We were blessed by God to have had him spend fifty-three years on God's great earth with us.
Brother Leon began to regain a relationship with God by reestablishing a new found religion at The Rhema Life Fellowship Church in Plano, Texas under Pastor James W. Thomas. Brother Leon was a proud and faithful member of the church, where he served as Vice-President of the Men's Ministry. Upon his calling to his new home, he was preparing to become a "Deacon" in his church.
