I took my friend to Colorado elk hunting once. He wanted to take his 3-wheeler! I told his hard head that 3-wheelers aren't any good in that terrain. To no avail he took his 3-wheeler anyway, which went up hill just fine, but down hill went horrible. He flipped it on a 400 yard slope almost straight down. Half way down he caught his feet and began to run and said he never ran that fast in his life. With the wind blowing through his hair he said it felt like heaven till he reached the bottom! When he reached the bottom the slope on the other side instantly stopped him, splattering him head long into the side of the mountain. Poor guy, he was bruised all over the front side of his body. Needless to say he did no hunting, and stayed soaking in the tube the whole time!

We had such great times at the different deer leases! I remember playing hide n seek on the 4 wheelers at midnight and drinking beer and playing poker my favorite game. I remember one night when you and Dallas got stuck and had us go out in the woods at 2 or 3 in the morning to get ya’ll out of the mud. I remember that you were the one who told me Princess Diana had died.....we were sitting around a campfire and you went in your trailer to get something and you saw it on the news. You came back out and You said, ‘Cathy, do you know who Princess Diana is”?......and I said “yes”. And you said ...”she’s dead”....I ran into my trailer and watched the news all night long. We had a lot of fun and you will be missed. Ride those 4 wheelers in heaven...

One time we were mowing lawns and needed to get to the backyard. There was a big dog in the yard. We opened the gate and the dog got out. We had to get it back in, but it was trying to bite us. He said he would grab the dog and for me to put a 3 foot rope on it. I told him "hell no". He grabbed the dog by the cheeks and it started scratching him. They were wrestling around in the yard. The neighbors were telling us to quit hurting the dog. I told Leonard to turn the dog loose. He said he couldn't because the dog was going to bite him. He finally threw the dog and it went straight into the backyard. Leonard was bleeding all over his arms and needed stitches. He blamed it on me because I wouldn't put the rope on the dog.
Best friends forever. Will miss you.
See you later.

Lot's of good times deer & squirrel hunting , over the years.
Playing cards till time to go hunt or sleep in our stands.
Riding 4 wheelers playing hiding go seek with Dallas , in the woods at 2 a/m . Ya think alcohol might be involved ? How many times did you clowns get stuck in the mud ,walk back to camp to wake me up to pull y'all out? Don would say what the hell is wrong with you boys ? Edwin would reply : Don , they ain't got no damn sense!
We ate good though ,BBQ, CHILI ,STEW ,CHICKEN/DUMPLINGS.
Beer was cold, jokes were great ,lies were better. What good times i'll never forget ! I will forever miss you , I love you brother , REST IN PEACE !!! David.
