

Les truly exemplified a life well lived. Born in Liberal, Kansas, he later attended Olpe High School and studied Education at Emporia State University. He went on to serve his country in the United States Army and was a proud Vietnam veteran.
As a mud engineer in the oil and gas industry, he was fortunate to travel the world and even spent several years living in the Canary Islands, where he met his wife, Carin, and in Scotland.
In his private life, Les enjoyed pheasant hunting, riding motorcycles, listening to live music, playing darts, and showing off his signature dance moves on the dance floor. He especially loved watching Astros games.
He was loved by all who knew him and never met a stranger. His contagious smile always left a lasting impression.
Les is preceded in death by his wife, Carin, his mother, Lula, his father, David, and his brother, Charles. He leaves behind treasured memories with his children Jacqueline, Claudia, and Curtis. His legacy will live on with his grandchildren, Brian and his wife Nicole, Mitchell, Alex and his wife Audrey, Molly, Logan, and great-grandson, Hunter. And he will always be fondly remembered by his brother, Ron and his wife Rae Anne, his sister Patricia and her husband Bill, as well as, many beloved nieces, nephews, family members, friends, and his best-friend, Emily.
A celebration of life for Leslie will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home and Cem,located at 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338, followed by military honors at 11:00 AM to 11:10 AM and his final farewell inurnment to follow.
