
On October 27, 1942, a beautiful baby girl was born to Mr. Dutch and Mrs. Pairlee Wells in Red River Parish, Louisiana. They named their daughter Maxine Wells. Upon beginning school, she learned that her name had been officially recorded as Littie Wells. Littie received her early education at Hanna Elementary School and later attended Springville High School in Coushatta, Louisiana. On October. Littie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptize at New Hope No. 3 Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor C. D. Williams.
Littie was a dedicated and hardworking woman throughout her life. She worked for Pro-Line Industrial Products Inc. and at the Ammunition Plant in Minden, Louisiana. After moving to Houston, Texas, she was blessed with two children: her daughter, Ms. Yalanda Widdow of Houston, and her son, Mr. George Armstrong of Austin. In 1979, she met Mr. Robert L. Robinson, and their loving relationship lasted many years. They were married on February 19, 2007, and shared 49 years of love and companionship until her passing. In Houston, Littie joined Morning Star Full Gospel Church under Bishop Larry Leonard. When leadership changed, it became Restoration Square Full Gospel Baptist Church under Bishop Dalton Glenn, where she served faithfully with the Senior Women’s Ministry until her health declined. She later joined Fresh Start Family Church under Bishop Clennon Lee, remaining connected there until her passing.
Littie was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Dutch and Mrs. Pairlee Wells, and three brothers: Mr. J. B. Wells of Hanna, Louisiana, Mr. J. C. Wells of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Mr. Lawrence Wells of Shady Grove, Louisiana. She is survived by her devoted husband, Mr. Robert L. Robinson; her children, Ms. Yalanda Widdow and Mr. George Armstrong; her sisters, Mrs. Ebbie Miller (Benny) of Coushatta, Louisiana, and Mrs. Helen Belford (Jake); and her brothers, Mr. Johnny Wells (Gloria) of Shreveport, Louisiana, Mr. Dutch Wells, Jr. (Rosiland), and Mr. Earine Lee Wells, both of Bossier City, Louisiana. Her cherished grandchildren include two grandsons, Christopher Widdow (Lia), who serves in the United States Navy, and Payton Armstrong of Houston, Texas, as well as one granddaughter, London Armstrong of Katy, Texas. She also leaves behind four beloved great-grandchildren, Ka’Mya, C. J., and Elijah Wimbush of Virginia, and Ja’Maiya Jacobs of Houston, Texas along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, church family, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory dear.
