In 2006, Ludovic moved to the United States, settling first in Indiana before continuing his journey in Houston, Texas. There, he held various jobs before resuming his studies. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics and Applied Sciences from the University of Houston-Downtown. Driven by a constant desire to learn and improve himself, he later completed a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity Administration at the same university in 2025.
His professional career was characterized by a continuous commitment to learning, growth, and embracing new challenges. He developed his expertise in the fields of information technology and cybersecurity, earning recognition for his rigor, analytical mindset, and dedication to excellence.
From 2013 to 2017, he worked as an independent contractor forMetro, the public transportation authority of the City of Houston. He subsequently joined Cisco, where he worked as an Engineering Technician from 2017 to 2021. In 2021, he joined Fannie Mae, where he served as a Cybersecurity Analyst. In this role, he applied his education, experience, and expertise in information security. His professional journey reflects his determination to continually refine his skills and build a career based on expertise, discipline, and hard work.
In 2009, during a visit to family in Benin, Ludovic met the woman who would become his wife,Ogechi, in Porto-Novo, in front of the National Assembly building. Their love story led to marriage in June 2013 in Nkporo, located in the Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State, Nigeria.
Their union was blessed with two children. Their first child, Evalyn Uchechi, was born on December 23, 2014. Four years later, on August 20, 2018, their second child, Joel Uchenna, joined the family.
Above all, Ludovic was a devoted family man who deeply loved his loved ones. The happiness and well-being of his family were at the center of his life. A loving husband and caring father, attentive and present, he dedicated himself wholeheartedly to his wife and children. They were his pride, his joy, and a constant source of motivation.
Ludovic was also passionate about sports, particularly Taekwondo, a martial art that reflected many aspects of his character: discipline, rigor, perseverance, and self-control.
He was crowned Benin National Champion several times in the light heavyweight division. He also had the honor of representing his country on the international stage, competing at the 2005 Izmir Universiade Games in Turkey. In addition, he participated several times in the American Taekwondo Championships.
Through Taekwondo, Ludovic sought more than athletic achievement. It was also an expression of his life philosophy, one founded on effort, discipline, self-improvement, and perseverance in the face of challenges.
A man of principles and values, Ludovic was methodical, meticulous, and persistent. He approached everything he did with seriousness and determination, while always remaining calm, discreet, and disciplined.
His simplicity and generosity were among his most defining qualities. He never needed to seek attention to be noticed. His presence, demeanor, and way of being spoke for themselves.
Behind his calm nature was a deeply caring and sensitive man, attentive to others and always concerned for the well-being of those he loved. He knew how to be present, to listen, to support, and, in his own way, to offer comfort and encouragement to everyone who crossed his path.
His story cannot be reduced to the dates of his birth and passing. It is told through the love he gave, the family he cherished, the challenges he overcame, the dreams he pursued, and the lives he touched.
Ludovic, “Ludo,” will forever remain in our hearts.
